Natural Landscapes with Man-made materials

We are starting an exciting new art project! As we continue to dive in to our Inquiry Question, "How are natural and human systems interrelated?", we are going to create a piece of art that reflects the balance and sometimes the opposition of the two. To create these multi-media landscapes, we will be using a variety of recycled materials in a mosaic fashion, using flat objects for the background, and thicker objects as they move towards the foreground.

We expect to be using up a number of these small, recycled materials from our iLab supply and are hoping that we can begin replenishing them right away from items found in our homes. Here is a sample list:
- bread tabs
- pop can tabs
- bottle caps
- buttons
- bubble wrap
- wire
- hardware (ex. nails, bolts, nuts, screws, etc.)

Thank you in advance for your support!

In our own words:
- We had gym (gymnastics) with our K buddies (SF)
- We went to the iLab to find stuff for our art project (LJ)
- We did word problems in math (SF)

Reminders:
- Bring your recorders tomorrow, and your book (if applicable)
- Bring any small recycled materials to replenish our iLab supply
- If you have long hair, you need an elastic for gymnastics (this week and next)
