Welcome back! It's been great being back together in learning again. We are jumping right back in, and have some exciting things coming up!

In our words:
- Choir has some news! On Wednesday, we have to wear a white top and black pants, because we are going over to RT Alderman and we are going to sing and get recorded (ER). We are so proud of our choir!
- We learned a new game in math (RJ)
- We attempted to do a very difficult number line activity and it failed. It was too hard! (VS)
- We are starting to publish our stories (PS)
- We did sandbox time in iLab (SF)

We also had a very interesting discussion related to our Inquiry Question for the year ("How are human and natural systems interrelated?"). A student posed the question - "What if humans weren't here? Would nature survive? We had quite the heated debate, with lots of interesting hypotheses on both sides. I encourage you to take this topic up at home tonight!

Reminders:
- No school on Friday
- If you forgot your indoor shoes, please bring them tomorrow!
- Students brought their Simple Machine Inventions home today, along with a rubric. The yellow highlighter is their self-assessment, and the pink is the teacher assessment. In some cases, if students had used materials that need to be returned to the iLab, they will only be bringing home the rubric.
